I Was Not Crazy for Asking
I was not controlling for noticing the stories changed. I was not insecure for feeling distance where intimacy used to be.
You called every question an accusation. You made honesty sound like an unreasonable demand.
After we ended, the truth came out in pieces. By then, I did not even feel vindicated. I felt tired.
I wish I had trusted the version of me who knew something was wrong.
I do now.
That is the only closure I need.
