Account Deletion

How to request deletion, what is removed, and what may legally or technically remain.

Last updated: July 11, 2026
Account deletion is not the same as removing every copy of public content.

Public letters may have been cached, archived, copied, shared, or used under the content license granted at submission.

1. How to Request Deletion

Send a request from the email address associated with your account to contact@unsently.com with the subject “Account Deletion Request.” We may require reasonable identity verification.

2. What Deletion Does

Deletion removes or de-identifies account information that we are not required or permitted to retain. It may end your ability to manage submissions and receive account notifications.

3. What May Remain

We may retain security logs, moderation records, consent records, legal records, backups, fraud-prevention data, and information needed to enforce agreements or comply with law.

4. Public Letters and Licensed Uses

Public letters, excerpts, derivative works, archived copies, third-party shares, and materials used under the license granted at submission may remain available unless we choose or are legally required to remove them.

5. Newsletter Removal

Account deletion and newsletter unsubscribe are separate. Use the unsubscribe link in a marketing email or request removal from the email list.

6. Processing Time

We will process verified requests within a reasonable period, subject to applicable law, technical limitations, backups, legal holds, and legitimate retention needs.
