Some start as messages unsent
Not every unsent thought begins as a long letter. Sometimes it is a text typed after an argument, a message saved in drafts, or a few lines written late at night and deleted before morning.
Some words are too heavy to keep carrying and too complicated to send. Write them honestly. Share them anonymously. Let them become part of something human.
An unsent letter is exactly what it sounds like: a letter written to a real person that the writer does not plan to send. It may be addressed to an ex, a parent, a friend, someone who died, or even a younger version of the writer.
People write unsent letters when they need to say something honestly but sending it would not help, would not be safe, or is no longer possible. The letter still has a purpose. It gives the writer somewhere to place the apology, anger, grief, love, or goodbye they have been carrying.
Unsent Letters Wall gives those words a public place without turning them into direct contact. Every public submission is reviewed, and anonymous posting is welcome.
You can read unsent letters already shared on the wall or write your own. Some are quiet. Some are angry. Some are loving. All of them come from the same need: to finally put the words somewhere.
You do not need the perfect words. You only need somewhere to begin.
